It is not uncommon for family members or heirs of a decedent to have differences of opinion on what is or is not part of a probate estate. It is also not uncommon for the heirs to have a difference of opinion on how to handle the assets which are part of a probate estate and to determine who will receive what from the estate.
These are called probate disputes.
Probate disputes often requires the assistance of an attorney familiar with probate statutes and case law to help one of the heirs determine the value of their claim and the cost that will be involved if there is a probate dispute.
We welcome your call or your email to determine if you need to have help evaluating whether you have such a dispute and the costs associated with bringing an action in court regarding the dispute.
